EX 高達戦士

EX Gaoda Senshi reminds me of Gundam and was a toy my four year old brought home from school as a reward for good behavior. During our recent holiday over the Lunar New Year, he was able to largely assemble the pieces on his own and put together this mech warrior toy. In addition to the articulation in arms and legs, some decorative stickers were also in the box, which made the slightly less attractive white plastic look much better. I imagine that if an interest in paints were to develop, then this toy (and similar ones) would be one possible route to explore coatings.

Looks like this GD warrior set comes in triplets —- the Barbatos Gaoda is number 03.

Unfortunately I don’t have the full information on the Barbatos Gaoda toy, such as the type of plastic. Handling the toy showed that the plastic is not rough or smelly and is rather hard. I like this particular piece because while the toy itself is not big [dimensions] the parts are large and easy to handle for the age. Putting the toy together also did not take an inordinate amount of time so that the process of assembly was rather joyous in and of itself.

The collection of Gaoda warriors was increased with the addition of this Astray Red Frame Gaoda. Their roles and stories would be interesting to look into, as each mechanic warrior has a pilot/engineer inside that melds with the “artificial” intelligence.
